ReplyDeleteThanks Karin, and I hope you get more time soon!
DeleteHappy anniversary - 4 years feels like a good, serious chunk of time and it's not easy to maintain! I've been meaning to explore Glattauer, so thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteBook I'd recommend from my recent reads? Jonas Karlsson's The Room - a surreal satire of corporate life which really resonated with me.
Thanks very much Marina! It's a nice read this one, good luck. Thanks I will go have a look at that one! :)
DeleteI think one of my favourites so far this year was All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. It totally broke me, but it's such a wonderful and deeply affecting read! Highly recommend it (alongside ice cream and plenty of Kleenex!).

ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel, and good luck! I fancy trying the Marsons book I think. I didn't know about the Lucy Robinson, off to have a look!

ReplyDeleteHi Lindsay,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your blogging aniversary!
I must admit that I never have kept track of when I started up Fiction Books in its very basic form, however your post and having a couple of minutes free time, set me thinking and checking things out. I was completely amazed to discover that I published my first post in April 2010 and that Fiction Books is almost 5 years old!!
I was quite tempted to enter your great celebration giveaway, however when I checked out your excellent review, I got the impression that the ending had somehow been left up in the air, ready for a sequel. As I am not a great series or sequence reader, that kind of dampened my interest, I'm afraid.
Good Luck! to all who decide to enter :)
Yvonne
Congratulations, happy 4th birthday xx
ReplyDeleteHappy blog birthday! Four years is a long time. I am glad to know you and look forward to getting to know you more in the future. :-)
ReplyDeleteAt the moment - The Day She Died, Catriona McPherson
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the 4th year of blogging, Lindsay, and thanks for the giveaway. One of the best books I've read this year is All the Light We Cannot See.
