It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

What are you reading this week?
As always, I hope you have a great week of wonderful reading, and thank you for visiting.

‘The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours.’ Alan Bennett
“Many a book is like a key to unknown chambers within the castle of one’s own self.” ― Franz Kafka
I bought Station 11 after reading the sample on the Kindle app but was so disappointed. I found it hard to follow and a bit too heavy for me to understand. Glad you enjoyed it though.

I finished Goodnight Mr. Tom (loved it) and went on to The memory keeper’s daughter (loving it). I'm catching up with my TBR pile, but it means I'm missing out on new books. I just can’t add any more to the pile for the time being … although Station Eleven sounds really good …
ReplyDeleteAwh - I so loved Station Eleven! I'm glad you liked it and I also don't normally like "that kind of book".
ReplyDeleteLoved Station Eleven too.
ReplyDeleteEveryone seems so impressed by Station Eleven. I do need to read it.
ReplyDeleteMy wife is working her way through the Poirot books but she has not read that collection yet.
I always think its a good sign when a book proves so thought provoking.
ReplyDeleteWading my way through Jodi Picoult's Mercy, I'm less than impressed.
I really want to read Station Eleven. I'm so glad you liked it! The Silkworm is one I really want to read. After The Cuckoo's Calling. :-)
ReplyDeleteI never got into Robert Galbraith's books, but have always wanted to try them. I've heard mixed reviews, but I think I should. I mean... it's Rowling, only the author that made me love reading in the first place haha.
