Book Reviews

‘The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours.’ Alan Bennett

“Many a book is like a key to unknown chambers within the castle of one’s own self.” ― Franz Kafka

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

This is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey

What I've read in the last week...

Where the Truth Lies by Julie Corbin
Fallen Grace by Mary Hooper

What I am reading at the moment...

Blue Monday by Nicci French
Tyger Tyger Burning Bright: Much-loved poems you half-remember by Ana Sampson

What I hope to read next...

The German Boy by Tricia Wastvedt
The Picture Book by Jo Baker

Hope everyone has a great week reading!

  1. I've been reminded of Nicci French's books a couple of times this morning. Time to grab another one of hers?

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

  2. Dear Lindsay,
I really like your name. I'm really excited you are following my blog at Literary Lindsey.
Fallen Grace sounds interesting - I hope you enjoyed it.
    Happy Reading!

  3. Oh, I adored Fallen Grace. It's one of my top reads for 2011. Just superb.

  4. I've heard good things about The German Boy! Will you be doing a review?

  5. Just checking out your blog for the first time. I majored in German Studies in college! Unfortunately, my German is really bad now as I never use it. But, when I was in Austria a couple years ago it came back fairly quickly

  6. Have a great reading week, Lindsay

  7. Thank you all for visiting/visiting back.

Toni yes I will definitely do a review of The German Boy once finished.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and leave a comment. It's great reading your comments and I really appreciate them :)
