Book Reviews

‘The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours.’ Alan Bennett

“Many a book is like a key to unknown chambers within the castle of one’s own self.” ― Franz Kafka

WWW Wednesdays - just read, reading now, reading next!

WWW Wednesdays is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?

• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Really enjoying both of these lovely books at the moment:

The Goddess and the Thief by Essie Fox
The People in the Photo by Helene Gestern

What did you recently finish reading?

I read these just before and on holiday, where I finally seemed to rediscover my reading mojo, which was wonderful! I hope it continues! Just need to have a massive review writing session now for them.

Perfect by Rachel Joyce
Lifetime by Liza Marklund
Close to the Wind by Zana Bell
The Book of You by Claire Kendal
Wonder: The Julian Chapter by R. J. Palacio
Fire and Brimstone by Colin Bateman
Wolfsangel by Liza Perrat
Brilliant by Roddy Doyle

What do you think you'll read next?

Plan to read at least some of these if I can:

The Blue Suitcase by Marianne Wheelagan
Cold Hearts by Gunnar Staalesen
Perfect Need by Barbara L. B. Storey
Ghostwritten by Isabel Wolff
Before the Fall by Juliet West
