Book Reviews

‘The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours.’ Alan Bennett

“Many a book is like a key to unknown chambers within the castle of one’s own self.” ― Franz Kafka

W...W...W... Wednesday

I am again taking part in a weekly meme hosted by Should Be Reading.

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I'm reading 'Next to Love' by Ellen Feldman. I am absolutely loving this book so far.
I'm also reading 'French Lessons' by Ellen Sussman, for a publisher review, and enjoying it.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished reading 'The Obscure Logic of the Heart' by Priya Basil. I liked this book, I read it as part of the Transworld Book Group Reading Challenge. It had a lot of different strands to it, including religion, arms dealing, poverty, although at heart it was a love story. I have reviewed it on my blog.

What do you think you'll read next?

I think I will read 'Breaking Away' by Anna Gavalda, again a review book. It's a really short novel by today's standards, and it is a translation from the French original.
