Book Reviews

‘The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours.’ Alan Bennett

“Many a book is like a key to unknown chambers within the castle of one’s own self.” ― Franz Kafka

Follow Friday Blog Hop

Friday again, hooray!!

'Follow Friday' is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

The question this week: It's that pesky magic book fairy again! She has another wish: What imaginary book world would you like to make a reality?

Well even though I am not the world's most dedicated Harry Potter fan, I love the films and would really like to step into that world and be able to walk along Diagon Alley and visit some of the magical places they go to.
A lot of my favourite books are actually quite sad or are set during traumatic periods in history and so much as I loved to read them I don't think I'd like to make those worlds real again. I suppose the ones that I'd like to make a reality would be the happy, fun places, so I'll stick with my HP answer for now!

  7. Harry Potter would be so wonderful, as long as I wasn't a muggle or a squib! I think if I was stuck like Petunia where I knew about the magical world but wasn't a part of it I'd go absolutely crazy. I want to go to Hogwarts and learn everything, play some Quidditch, see all those magical creatures... there's so much that would be amazing.
