About

I've enjoyed reading and loved books as far back as I can remember. I always have a book in my bag when I go anywhere, in case there is time for a few moments of reading. For me reading is a pleasure, a comfort and an escape, and I love the way that each book speaks to each reader in a slightly different way, because we all bring our own experiences with us when we read. I enjoyed studying literature and languages at school and University and I studied translation as a post-graduate.

I enjoy reading all sorts of different books from a variety of genres. My book reviews are just my personal opinions and reactions as a reader, and I always aim to be honest, unbiased, constructive, fair and impartial. Others may well really like something I didn't like, or I may love a book but others might not enjoy it. Most of the books I write about, I have bought, some I've received as gifts, or they are review copies - ARCs or proofs. I don't receive any payment for my reviews, and I aim to write fairly and give my true opinion regardless of the source of the book. Some of the reviews I have written have been shared in NewBooks magazineon Lovereading UK, on We Love This Book, on Amazon UK, on Goodreads,  or Waterstones.
